We encourage you and your child to make the decision of what camp option is right for them. We suggest that bike camp participants can operate hand brakes, can stand while riding, and have ridden off paved surfaces before.
Bike Camp is a program within Blue Mountain Adventure camp built for kids who love biking! Our bike campers get to participate in the same outdoor activities and field trips as our traditional adventure campers, but get to spend more of their day on two wheels.
Bike campers will spend 2 hours a day working on bike skills. As they progress, they will move out onto our cross country trails where they will encounter roots, bridges, rocks, and winding trails through our woods.
Some campers will progress beyond our cross country trails to our Downhill Mountain Bike Park. At the Bike Park, our chairlift takes your camper and their bike to the top of the mountain so they can ride entirely downhill back to the bottom.
Safety is a priority in our bike camp program! Helmets are always required. At the Downhill Bike Park, protective pads and a full face helmet will be provided. Your helmet is welcome to bring their own equipment, or borrow one of our bikes.
For Day Camp, campers should be dropped off at 8:30am and picked up by 4:30pm at the Valley Lodge located at the bottom of the mountain. If your child is participating in Overnight Camp, they should be dropped off on Sunday afternoon.More details on drop off and pick up will be provided in your pre-arrival email after booking your week of camp.
