Cardboard Box Derby

Cardboard Box Derby is back on the mountain!

Build, Race, Win: Our Cardboard Box Derby is back by popular demand! Join us Sunday, March 24th for this FREE event packed with fun and laughs for the whole family.

Use your creativity to build your cardboard box racer and put it to the test. Only carboard, tape, glue, string and paper may be used. Prizes will be awarded to the Fastest, Most Creative, and Biggest Fail of the day.

Check-in for all racers starts at Noon in the Summit Lodge Lobby, at the top of the mountain. The race will be held 1pm-3pm on School Hill, just outside the Summit Lodge.

The Rules

There can only be 4 riders per box
All participants must be 10 years or older
All participants must sign a waiver at check-in, anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign
All participants must be checked in by 12:45pm
All participants must wear a helmet
You must secure your participant number to your box
Boxes must be constructed of cardboard, tape, paper, string and glue ONLY

Pet Policy

Blue Mountain Resort insists that all pets be on leashes and kept under control, Pet owners are required to clean up after their pets. We do realize, however, that not all pets that visit the Resort are comfortable with their surroundings. We reserve the right to ask anyone whose pet appears to be uncomfortable or is not under control to please leave the Resort.

Guests may not leave pets unattended at any time, including our guests staying at Blue Mountain Resort campgrounds. Pets are not permitted in any eatery areas and restaurants. Blue Mountain Resort does permit service animals in all areas excluding on ski lifts and ski trails open for skiing.

No pets are permitted at special events unless the event specifically invites pets to the event. Pets, besides service animals, are not permitted at the Cardboard Box Derby.
