2022 Trail Races
Challenge yourself on PA's highest vertical! Whether your a trail running pro, or looking to start with a 5k, there's a race for everyone at Blue. Choose from one our our signature races like the Glow Burn, or join in on a series like the Hump Day 5k Series! Get a head start on the competition by training on our Blue Burn Trail. We'll see YOU at the finish line!
2022 Trail Race Schedule
Beginner Group Trail Run/Hike- Sunday, July 24
Join us for our 'Beginner Group Trail Run/Hike' on Sunday, July 24th! Meet at the Valley Lodge at 9am to participate. All Participants must have a Blue Burn Season Pass or Day Pass.
Hump Day 5k #3- Wednesday, July 27th
Join us for the third Hump Day 5k race of our 5 race series! The course is 3.1 miles and over 800 feet of elevation gain.
WHEN: Wednesday, July 27th at 6:30pm.
SERIES: Hump Day 5k races are held the last Wednesday of every month May-September. Each race runners will gain points based on where they finish, so every race matters. Your four best performances will be totaled to come up with your series score.
Women On The Trail Group Run- Sunday, August 14th
Join us for our 'Women On The Trail' group run on Sunday, August 14th! Meet at the Valley Lodge at 9am to participate. All Participants must have a Blue Burn Season Pass or Day Pass.
Glow Burn 5k, 10k, 15k- Friday, August 19th
Put your night trail running to the test! This course will be a 5k loop starting at 7pm. You will experience the sunset at the mountain and keep running into the dark. This race can be completed as a 5k, 10k, or 15k by completing one, two or three laps. You do not have to decide on a distance prior to race day. You will be required to wear a headlamp to begin the race. No frills race, light refreshments, instant results, held rain or shine!
WHEN: Friday, August 19th at 7pm.
Hump Day 5k #4- Wednesday, August 31st
Join us for the fourth Hump Day 5k race of our 5 race series! The course is 3.1 miles and over 800 feet of elevation gain.
WHEN: Wednesday, August 31st at 6:30pm.

Blue Burn Trail Challenge- Sunday, September 4th
You might have been taking on the Blue Burn Trail all season, put your fitness to the test! The Blue Burn is a 4.5 mile trail that takes you more than 1200ft to the top of Blue Mountain. It is a loop beginning at the Valley Lodge that winds through the woods, crossing a creek and has you powering up to the mountain’s highest point. Don’t forget to take in the view! You will then make your way down a tough, technical wooded section to complete the loop. This is a no frills race, light refreshments, instant results, held rain or shine!
WHEN: Sunday, September 4th at 10am.
