Our Commitment to Safety

• All guests will be required to wear a mask if they must enter the Summit or Valley Lodge 
• A representative will be stationed at the door to ensure masks are worn and control volume entering the building  
• All automatic sliding doors will be operating  
• Que areas will be set to maintain appropriate social distancing of 6 ft 
• Shields between staff and guests will be placed at all operational ticket windows  
• Every other ticket window will be used 
• Ticket windows will be rotated every hour to allow for sanitizing of windows not being utilized
• Ticketing kiosks will be available on far ends of kiosk area, wipes will be readily available to sanitize  
• Ticket staff will sanitize touch areas every ½ hour and take a break to wash hands every ½ hour

Slopeside Pub & Grill is Open for Curbside Pick Up and Outdoor Dining

Dining Precautions:

• All guests must wear a mask when entering the Summit Lodge
• Masks can be removed when you are seated at your table
• Tables have been spaced 6ft or more apart from each other
• There will be no more than 8 permitted at a table 

Curbside Precautions:

• All staff, both in the kitchen and out front, wear masks at all times
• All staff members wear gloves and change them between each car/guest interaction
• Curbside pick up is as contactless as possible, with most payments being made over the phone and without requiring use of pens for signatures
• Guests are asked to remain in their cars, staff greets them there with their packages. Packages are placed in the passenger seat, back seat or trunk with gloved hands. Gloves are changed immediately after.
• All work areas including carts and kitchen counters are sanitized regularly.
• All staff follow the Blue Mountain work procedures upon arrival to work ( temp checks, health surveys, etc)

Glamping COVID-19 Safety Precautions

Check-in Process:  

• If you pre-book your Glamping site and sign your waiver online, you can call upon arrival to avoid coming into the lodge.   
•  Guests will be handed their ‘admission bracelet’ and will need to put it on themselves.
• When waiting to be chauffeured to site guests are asked to wait in/near their cars or at separate seating areas in the courtyard. Please observe proper social distancing of 6 ft. 
• All guests are asked to avoid other campsites and to observe social distancing of 6 ft when in common areas. 

 Transporting Guests: 

• Guests will be required to wear a mask when being transported in any mountain vehicle to their Glamping site. Any high touch areas will be wiped after each guest transport. 
• We will not have more than one family group in a mountain vehicle at a time.

 Cleaning Precautions: 

• Extra care will be taken by staff to sanitize any touch points when cleaning out Glamping sites (tables, handrails, benches, grill handles, zipper pulls etc). Furniture will be placed in direct sunlight when possible to enhance sanitation. 
• All Coolers, Water jugs and Solar Showers will be sanitized between guests.  
• All utensils, urns, etc. will be run through a high temperature dishwasher. 

CDC Guidelines for Guests:  

• Stay close to home: Pennsylvanians are encouraged to enjoy permitted outdoor recreational activities within their community and avoid crowding popular destinations. 
• Practice social distancing: Maintain the recommended minimum 6 feet apart from fellow recreationists. Pennsylvanians are also encouraged to wear a mask or protective garment that covers the nose and mouth any time they go outside. If a parking lot at a park is full or there are too many people on the same trail, find an alternate place to recreate. Cross the street to avoid running directly past another runner or wait longer at a golf hole for a fellow golfer to move forward. 
• Minimize risk to others: Individuals should only go out if they feel healthy and have not been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. 
• Practice good hygiene: Wash hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60 percent alcohol. Avoid surfaces that are touched often, such as doorknobs and handrails. 
• Have a plan: Create a safety plan before heading outdoors. Explain to children the need to keep their distance from others, even if they happen to see a friend while outside. Discuss with partners, social distancing while on the golf course. Think through how to avoid other runners when waiting to safely cross a street at the same time. 

Camping COVID-19 Safety Precautions

Check-in Process: 

• If you book your stay and sign waivers online, you can call upon arrival to avoid coming into the lodge for check-in.   
• All guests will be required to wear a mask to enter Valley Lodge  
• All guests will be asked to avoid other campsites and to observe social distancing when in common areas. 
• A representative will be stationed at the door to ensure masks are worn and control volume entering the building 
• One time use Handouts will be used. 

Cleaning Precautions:  

• Check-in staff will take breaks to sanitize or wash hands once every hour and will wear masks and gloves when interacting with guests or when handling guest’s items. 
• Staff will sanitize high touch areas every hour. 
• Table and Fire ring handles will be wiped after each guest. 

Transports: 

• Guests will be required to wear a mask when being transported in any mountain vehicle. Any high touch areas will be wiped after each transport. 
• We will not have more than one family group in your vehicle at a time when transporting.

Blue Mountain Bike Park COVID-19 Safety Precautions

On the Chairlift:

• We will be loading a maximum of four bikes per lift tray on the outside carriers. We will only load 4 bikes if the rider is comfortable riding with another person on the chair. 
• Guests may not sit in the chair directly behind the bike carrier to give the unloading attendant sufficient time to unload bikes and distance themselves from the unloading area
• Guests who arrived in the same vehicle will be permitted to ride the chair together, all other guests will be asked to sit separately. 
• Bikes will be unloaded and placed in a rack for guests to pick up. Sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer will be available at the top of the chairlift.

On the Trails:

• Riders are encouraged to only ride those they arrived with
• Riders are encouraged to continue using their masks while riding
• Rider spacing of at least 20 meters is encouraged to avoid the “slipstream” of exhalation
• If stopping along a trail, stopped riders must move at least 6’ off the trail tread while stopped
• Ride within your limits. We understand everyone is ready to get out and shred. Progression and testing your limits can wait. Ride smart, ride safe!
• All elements of the Mountain Bikers Code of Conduct should continue to be followed

OMT & Blue Burn COVID-19 Safety Precautions

OMT Classes/Blue Burn:

• Class instructors are required to stay at least 6’ away from class members  
• Participants must stay at least 6’ away from one another at all times 
• Participants are encouraged to continue using their masks while in class 

Obstacle Sanitation:  

• All obstacles will be wiped down between uses  
• All obstacles will be re-sanitized before and after classes 
• Runners are encouraged to only run/hike those they arrived with 
• Runners are encouraged to continue using their masks while running

Summer Adventure Park COVID-19 Safety Precautions

All SAP Staff will: 

• Complete a temperature check and health survey when they arrive for their shift 
• Wear face masks while working 

• Wash/sanitize hands at least once per hour 
• Clean high touch areas (railings, table tops, etc.) every hour 
• Minimize physical contact with guests  
• Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when possible 

All SAP Guests will: 

• Wash/Sanitize hands when they check-in upon arrival 
• Wear the gloves issued at check-in while they participate in SAP activities 
• Wear a face mask while at SAP 
• Follow all safety precautions as directed by staff and signage 
• Maintain social distancing of 6 feet from other SAP guests (not in their own group) 

Arrival/Check-in at Blue Mountain Resort 

• Guests purchasing in advance on-line will have a quicker check-in process 
• Guests should arrive 15-30 minutes ahead of their scheduled session time 
• Guests will check-in at Summit Lodge ticket windows/True Blue Summit retail  
• Staff will be present to ensure that guests entering facilities are wearing face masks 
• Sessions will be capped at 25 guests. Late arrivals will wait for the next available session or forfeit the time they are late. 

Getting Gear at SAP 

• SAP Guests will be directed to the Gear Station outside the Summit Lodge 
• Gear being distributed to guests will have been properly sanitized and not used for at least 72 hours prior to being put back into rotation 
• Guests will be served in the order that their group arrives at the station area 
• Groups of guests will wait in designated areas with appropriate social distancing from other groups 
• Staff will keep any physical contact that may occur between staff and guests during gear distribution at a minimum and will wash/sanitize hands prior to working with each group of guests 

During Activities 

• Staff will monitor guest progress on Aerial Park courses to ensure that guests maintain proper social distancing 
• Guests must sanitize hands prior to using each course. Sanitizer will also be available at the end of each course. 

Returning Gear at SAP 

• When the session is over, guests will return gear to staff at the gear return racks near the SAP shack 
• Staff will assist guests with gear removal when necessary and maintain little to no physical contact unless requested

The following precautions are how we predict to operate for the 2020/21 season. As State and Local Government officials release more guidance on ski area operations, these precautions may also change.

In The Lodges

• All guests will be required to wear a mask when entering any building or in any situation where 6 ft of distancing cannot be maintained.  
• A representative will be stationed at the door to ensure masks are worn and control volume entering the building.
• Que areas will be set to maintain appropriate social distancing of 6 ft.
• Shields between staff and guests will be placed at all operational guest service windows.
• Staff will frequently sanitize touch areas.
• Ticketing kiosks will be available outside of the lodges to minimize entrance into the lodge.
• Tickets must be purchased online. Purchase tickets 48 hours in advance to avoid extra fees.

On The Lifts

• 6 ft distancing must be maintained between cohort groups.
• Skiers and riders will be required to wear masks and gloves while in lift lines and while riding the lift. 

Rental Shop

• 6 ft of distancing must be maintained in queuing lines. 
• Face coverings are required.
• A separation barrier will be in place between employees and guests.
• Rentals must be purchased online and loaded onto lift ticket.

• Masks are required in the Snow Tubing Park at all times. 
• Keep 6ft of distance between yourself and other guests while riding the carpet and waiting in line.
