Pond Skim Closing Day Celebration

All good things must come to an end! Our last day of the Winter Season will be this Sunday, March 26th at 4pm. Help us celebrate the close of our 45th Ski Season by participating in or spectating our annual Pond Skim event!

Go fast, lean back, and have fun! Blue Mountain’s annual Pond Skim will take place at Noon
on Sunday with registration for the event from 9am to 11am in the Alpine Ballroom at the Summit Lodge.

For those who may have never heard of Pond Skimming (pictured above), this event entails skiers and snowboarders gliding down a snowy slope into a water-filled pond created by our own Mountain crew. The pond is traditionally about 100 feet in length. Those who are daring enough to participate typically dress up in silly outfits to grab the crowd’s attention! Looking for some tips on making it across? Mountain Life offers advice for Skiers and Snowboards looking to skim, not swim! Anyone who’s skeptical about testing their skill on the water can cheer on skiers and riders from the sidelines. This event is free to spectate, and is fun for the whole family! This is a time for everyone to celebrate the Winter season and a GREAT photo opportunity!

With the Winter season coming to a close, Blue wants to remind you of our Summer Mountain activities, including High & Low Ropes Courses, Zip Lining, Archery Tag, Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, and so much more. Plus, Slopeside Pub & Grill is open and serving up top notch cuisine year round, 7 days a week.

We’ll see YOU on the mountain!
