Our Adventure Camp Staff are the cream of the crop! Born leaders and educators, our Camp Staff work at Blue Mountain Resort year-round. Caring and insightful, they will make sure that your kids have the time of their life AND learn while having fun!
Camp Program Director
Joe Forte has been a part of the Blue Mountain Resort family for over 17 years. Joe has a passion for working with children and creates a program where education comes alive with adventure. His philosophy is to teach a curriculum that isn't available in school. Joe says, "Out here on the mountain is where kids find confidence, leadership, long lasting friends and a love for the outdoors." Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Education and numerous high level certifications in team building, high ropes courses, archery and rock climbing.
During the Winter months, Joe is busy as the Learning Center Director, Staff Trainer for our Snow Sports, as well as the proud Head Coach of the Blue Mountain Freestyle Team. Joe is known for his many certifications in coaching, USASA National finishes and contagious positive attitude.
Susan Burt will join us at Adventure Camp for her 3rd year, but this Winter was her 25th year working in the Children's Snow Sports Learning Center at Blue Mountain Resort! Susan's main responsibility as Camp Administrator is to maintain communication with every family. She enjoys making the campers and counselors feel like they can call Blue Mountain a home away from home. She began working as the "Ski-Wee Mom" and has now come full circle working as our "Camp Mom."

High Ropes Course Specialist
Meghan Grady has been with Adventure Camp for the past three years. Meghan is very experienced with our ropes course as well as with our other camp activities. She loves to be outdoors, and spends her free time camping, hiking, and backpacking with her family.
Meghan also has a Liberal Arts Degree. During the winter season, she is a snowboard instructor certified with the American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
High Ropes Specialist & Photographer
Emily Snyder has been with Blue Mountain Adventure Camp for the past 3 years! Emily can usually be found with a camera in hand or "hanging around" on top of the high ropes course. And while Emily enjoys participating in these activities herself, she finds great pleasure in sharing these awesome experiences with the other campers.
During the winter Emily work as part of the photography department at Blue Mountain Resort and when she's working at Blue Mountain, she can usually be found hiking, rock climbing, or kayaking. Come out and meet Emily.
Ian Riccelli has been apart of the Blue Mountain team for 2 years now. He has a tremendous love for the outdoors. He is a certified ski instructor during the winter, and enjoys rock climbing, fishing, and paddle sports during the summer.
Ian believes that Adventure Camp gives something truly special to every single camper. He is sincerely convinced that each and every camper walks away with new skills, friends, and memories. He believes it is truly marvelous to watch all of the campers find out more about themselves, and the world around them. Come out and meet Ian.
Meet Garret! This is his second year as a camp counselor and he enjoys sharing experiences with the kids and showing them things they never thought they could do.
Garret plays lacrosse and loves to snowboard in the winter. He's on the competition team for boarder cross here at Blue and competed at nationals in Colorado this past season. He also loves taking trips to new places.
Garret looks for new ways to tackle different situations and he thinks camp is a great place to push yourself to do something new while having fun doing it.
Joe Johnson (a.k.a Tripp J) has been with the Blue Mountain family for 3 years now. He is a ski instructor in the winter and loves the outdoors including camping, hiking, and fishing. Joe is an Eagle Scout and loves sharing his knowledge and skills with the campers.
He loves to see the kids grow throughout the week and gain confidence through trying new things. Joe believes camp is a great place for kids to conquer fears and develop teamwork. “It's great to see the kids grow by encouraging each other and working together throughout the week”. Everyone leaves camp with different skills and a new mindset.
Cody Ratliff has been a part of the Blue Mountain team for the last 2 years as a snowboard instructor and is excited to be joining the summer camp team this year. During the snowy season he enjoys teaching new sliders their way around the mountain. During the summer he loves playing sports and spending time outdoors with friends.
This year Cody will be a junior at Parkland High and is pursuing studies in the Engineering field. He has a passion for working with kids to improve their self confidence and team building skills. He is excited to help the kids make new friends and walk away from camp with more knowledge and respect for the outdoors. Come out and meet Cody.
Junior Camp Counselor
Lyle Cordes is going to be a freshman at Lehighton Area High School this fall. He has participated as a camper in the Blue Mountain Adventure Camp program for the past 3 summers, and worked as a ski instructor this past winter. Lyle says, "Those three summers taught me the skills I needed to do my favorite adventure sports, rock climbing and mountain biking. I have enjoyed my time at Blue Mountain so much I wanted to come back as a camp counselor. I look forward to giving campers the fun experiences I had at camp". Come out and meet Lyle.
