Freeriders Program 2011 | Blue Mountain Ski Area
Ski & Snowboard Freeride Program Ages 8 and up
A program for skiers and boarders ages 8 & up conducted by the USASA and PSIA qualified coaches. Specialized training for the terrain parks, Skiercross and Freeride will be covered. This program is for intermediates through experts, however all participants must be able to competently ski on at least blue square terrain. Twin tip skis are strongly suggested. DATES: Every Saturday & Sunday - Starting January 7th, 2012 through March 4th, 2012 TIME: 9AM to 1PM FEE: Applications received by 11.16.2011 is $520 & $576 after 11.16.2011 and $80 for a 1 day drop-in (lift ticket not included)
Competitive Freeride Program A program for skies and boarders ages 8 & up managed by USASA and AASI qualified coaches, slopestyle, and freeriding. All participants must be enrolled in the Freeride Program in order to upgrade to this advanced program. An additional $200 fee is associated with this competitive freeride program in order to upgrade from the basic Freerider Program. DATES: Select weekends & providing additional training sessions during the week - weekend schedule TBD TIME: Tuesday & Thursday 6PM to 8PM FEE: Freeride Program Fee (see above) plus $200 upgrade

Competitive Freeride Program Freeride is a premier program offered by Blue Mountain teaching freestyle skiing/boarding for ages 8 & up. This program is conducted by USASA, PSIA and AASI qualified coaches. Specialized training for the Terrain Parks, Moguls, Skiercross and Freeride will be covered. This program is for intermediates through experts, however all members must be able to competently negotiate at least blue square terrain. Twin tip skis/boards are strongly recommended. All members participating in this program must be capable of riding a chairlift without an adult and be able to follow group instruction.
Congratulations to all of the Blue Mountain Freeriders who traveled to their first competition during the 2010.2011 winter season! The event was a USASA Mid-Atlantic Skiercross/Boardercross at Camelback, PA. The team ended up taking home 7 gold and 2 silver medals, between 7 athletes during the morning and afternoon races. The Blue Mountain Freeriders would like to thank everyone that helped make this possible, YOU ALL TOOK GOLD THIS WEEKEND!
